Daewoo is a former automobile manufacturer from Romania. In Craiova company stemmed from a joint venture with Daewoo Heavy Industries. There models were built in the compact class and small cars like the Daewoo Tico and the Daewoo Espero. After General Motors Daewoo had bought up the company' s situation worsened. Eventually the Romanian government, ran the work of the Ford Motor Company. The company was renamed into Automobile Craiova SA.
